Purpose and Applicable Part/Model Numbers

This article describes how to inventory Hydrogen sensors in an H2 Zero VRLA Hydrogen Ventilation System. It applies to main controller firmware version r05 and higher.

If you have a controller with firmware version lower than r05 please contact comm/net support.

Procedure Walkthrough

To check which firmware version power cycle the controller using the on/off switch on the board behind the main controller. To access the Rear I/O board with the switch, loosen the four thumb screws on the front of the panel, and lift the controller out of the controller enclosure.

To add a sensor into inventory:

1. Unscrew the four thumb screws holding the main control in the wall mounted enclosure to access the

rear I/O board.

2. Power off the controller using the on/off switch on the rear I/O board.

3. Connect the Cat-5 cable from the sensor(s) to the rear I/O board in the desired position. There are four sensor positions on the rear I/O board.

4. Turn on the main controller using the switch on the rear I/O board.

5. Re-secure the main controller to the enclosure using the four thumb screws

6. As the controller powers on it should automatically inventory the new sensor(s).  The front LED's on the main controller should display blue for each sensor connected. If the sensor is not inventoried check your firmware version and contact comm/net support.

To clear the sensor inventory:

1. Unscrew the four thumb screws holding the main control in the wall mounted enclosure to access the rear I/O board.

2. Power off the controller using the on/off switch on the rear I/O board.

3. Disconnect all the sensor from the rear I/O board.

4. Power on the controller using the on/off switch on the rear I/O board.

5. Watch the display as it powers up. After it completes its self test it should display no sensor found, then it will say EE PROPM Cleared. This completes the process of resting the inventory. If this process did not clear the inventory check you firmware version as described above and contact comm/net support.

If you are having trouble inventorying Hydrogen sensors, please contact Comm/net Systems.
